15살 나이에
이 영화를 이해한다는 것은
사실 어떻게 보면 불가능한 일이었을지도 모른단 생각이 든다.

학원을 빼먹고
동네 비디오 가게란 비디오 가게는
모조리 뒤지다
결국
보수동(부산) 중고서적 거리까지 뒤져
기어코 찾아내서 보았던 영화지만,
내가 사랑해 마지 않았던
리버피닉스의 영화라는 사실만으로
나에겐, 그저 '반드시 보아야 할' 영화에 지나지 않았는지도...


이제
그보다도
나이를 훌쩍 더 먹어버린 지금...
마치 잊고 있었던 약속처럼
다시 기억해내고..
미안해 하는 것은
왜일까...
